Southern Chicken Fried Steak

Experience crispy, juicy, unmatched flavor with this delicious chicken fried steak. Braveheart quality beef steak is breaded and fried to perfection and topped with a creamy, flavorful gravy. Make this tasty dish at home for a taste of perfectly seasoned southern cuisine.


  • 2 Braveheart Boneless Ribeye Steaks, thinly pounded

  • Oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 ½  cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp steak seasoning

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 egg

For the gravy:

  • ½ grease (reserved from frying steak)

  • ⅓ cup flour

  • 3 cups milk

  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, paprika, salt, pepper, steak seasoning, and garlic powder. Dredge steaks in flour mixture until thinly coated.

  2. Mix together milk and egg in a medium-sized bowl and dredge flour-coated steaks in the mixture. Place steaks back into the flour mixture and coat well.

  3. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add breaded steaks to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. Add ⅓ cup flour to the skillet with grease and mix well until a thick sauce forms. Add milk, salt, and pepper, and stir well until gravy begins to thicken.

  5. Serve gravy over fried steak.

  6. Let cool and enjoy!
