  • 4 Braveheart Ridgecrest Franks

  • 4 hot dog buns

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp thyme

  • 1/2 cup beef broth

  • 1/2 cup grated Gruyere cheese

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • ¼ cup dijon mustard


  1. In a pan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, sugar, and thyme until onions are caramelized about 15-20 minutes.

  2. Stir in beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  3. Grill or cook hot dogs according to package instructions.

  4. Toast hot dog buns on the grill or in a pan.
