This Chinese Pepper Steak is made with thinly sliced Braveheart New York Strip, stir-fried vegetables, and a flavorful, savory sauce. The ingredients in this dish blend together so well to create a unique and satisfying flavor. Recreate this dish at home for a delicious and filling meal.
Ingredients
2 Braveheart New York Strip steaks, thinly sliced
Oil
1 red bell pepper, think sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 small white onion, sliced
10 tbsp soy sauce
3 tsp ginger paste
6 tbsp oyster sauce
¼ cup rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 tbsp minced garlic
4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp honey
Directions
Place steak in a large bowl and mix with 4 tbsp of soy sauce, ginger paste, and 2 tsp of black pepper. Place in an oiled skillet over medium-high heat and cook for 6-10 minutes or until the steak is fully cooked. Remove the steak from the skillet, making sure to leave all the juices.
Add remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar, cornstarch, honey, garlic, and remaining black pepper to a small bowl and whisk until well combined. Set aside.
Add the bell pepper and onion to the skillet and cook until tender. Add the sauce mixture and cook for 3-5 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
Add the steak to the pan with the sauce and mix well until the steak is fully coated.
Serve over rice or noodles and enjoy!
