Braveheart Slaw Dogs

Enjoy a unique take on classic all-beef franks with Braveheart Slaw Dogs! This dish starts with a classic grilled beef frank nestled in a warm bun and topped with chili.   • 4 Braveheart Ridgecrest Franks

  • 4 hot dog buns

  • 1/2 cup canned chili

  • 1 cup coleslaw mix

  • 1/4 cup diced onion

  • 1 tablespoon diced pickles

  • 2 tablespoons diced tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon diced jalapeno peppers

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1 teaspoon mustard

  • salt and pepper, to taste


  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium heat. Grill or cook the franks until they are heated through and have grill marks, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, onion, pickles, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers (if using), mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Stir until the vegetables are evenly coated in the dressing.

  3. To assemble the hot dogs, place a frank in each bun. Top each hot dog with a spoonful of canned chili and a generous serving of the slaw mixture. Serve the hot dogs warm, and enjoy!
