Braveheart Brown Sugar Burger

- 4 Braveheart Black Angus Burgers

- 4 hamburger buns

- 8 slices of bacon

- 4 slices of gouda cheese

- 1 large onion, thinly sliced

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

- Salt and pepper to taste


1. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.

2. Cook the bacon until crispy on the grill or in a skillet. Once cooked, set aside on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

3. add the sliced onions with olive oil in the same pan or skillet and cook over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally until the onions become soft and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the onions and cook for 5 minutes until the onions are richly caramelized. Set aside.

4. Season the Braveheart Black Angus Burgers with salt and pepper on both sides.

5. Place the burgers on the preheated grill or griddle and cook to your desired doneness, usually about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your preference.

6. During the last 1-2 minutes of cooking, add a slice of gouda cheese to each burger to melt.

7. While the cheese melts, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or griddle.

8. Assemble the Braveheart Brown Sugar Burger: Place a cooked burger on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Top the burger with two slices of bacon and generous caramelized onions. Add any additional condiments or toppings of your choice.

9. Place the top half of the bun on the stack to complete the burger.
