Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Braveheart top sirloin steak, thinly sliced

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms

  • 1 cup diced carrots

  • 1 cup frozen peas

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 tsp cornstarch

  • 2 tsp sesame oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Heat a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and swirl to coat the pan.

  2. When the pan is hot, add the beef slices in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the beef is browned on both sides. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

  3. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan. Add the onions, bell pepper, mushrooms, carrots, and peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.

  4. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for an additional minute.

  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir to coat.

  6. Add the cooked beef back into the pan and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  7. Serve the stir fry hot over a bed of rice or noodles. Enjoy!
