Beef Pierogies

These pierogies are made with flaky dough and filled with creamy cheese, juicy Braveheart beef, mashed potatoes, and an array of seasonings. Recreate this easy dish at home for a fun flavor experience.


  • 1lb Braveheart Black Angus Beef

  • 4 russet potatoes, washed, peeled, and cut into 1-inch cubes

  • ½ onion, diced

  • Oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 10 ounces ricotta cheese

  • ⅓ cup cheddar cheese, grated

  • 4 cups flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 2 tbsp butter


  1. Boil potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender. Transfer to a bowl and mash until smooth. Set aside

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add oil, onions, and beef. Cook until beef is cooked through and transfer to a bowl. To the bowl, add mashed potatoes, ricotta cheese, cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix until ingredients are well combined. Set aside.

  3. For the dough, add flour, eggs, and water to a bowl and mix well. Knead the dough until smooth and set aside for 20 minutes.

  4. Roll dough until thin and cut into circular shapes.

  5. Place a tbsp of filling in the center of the dough and fold to seal the mixture inside.

  6. Boil pierogies for 3 minutes and transfer to a pan with melted butter. Cook until the pierogies are golden brown.

  7. Let cool, serve, and enjoy!
