Ingredients:

For the dough:

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 cup warm water

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the filling:

- 1 lb Braveheart Black Angus Burger Meat

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 2 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 teaspoon ground cumin

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 2 tomatoes, diced

- 1 green bell pepper, diced

- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese

- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

- Olive oil for brushing

Instructions:

  1. Combine the warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast in a small bowl. Stir gently and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until the dough comes together.

  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

  4. In a skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened.

  5. Add the minced garlic and ground beef to the skillet. Cook the beef until it browns and crumbles.

  6. Stir in the ground cumin, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the beef is well-seasoned and cooked through. Remove from heat.

  7. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  8. Divide the dough into four equal pieces. On a floured surface, roll out each piece into an oval shape, about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick.

  9. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the prepared baking sheet.

  10. Spoon the cooked beef mixture onto the center of each oval dough, leaving a border around the edges.

  11. Top the beef mixture with diced tomatoes, green bell peppers, and crumbled feta cheese.

  12. To shape the Pide, lift the sides of the dough and pinch them together, creating a boat-like shape. The edges should remain open, and the filling should be partially exposed.

  13. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil for a golden crust.

  14. Bake the Beef Pide in the oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.

  15. Remove the Pide from the oven and sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top.

  16. Serve the Beef Pide warm, cut into slices, and enjoy!
