Beef and Corn Chowder

This warm and hearty corn chowder is the perfect comfort food for a rainy day. It is made with quality Braveheart ground beef, spicy jalapeno, juicy bacon, and creamy corn. Pair this dish with warm, toasted bread and experience a meal that is impossible to beat!

Ingredients

  • 1lb Braveheart Black Angus Burger Meat

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ½ onion, diced

  • 1 jalapeno, diced

  • 1 red bell pepper, diced

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 8 bacon slices, diced

  • 1 can whole corn kernels

  • 1 can creamed corn

  • ½ cup flour

  • 6 cups chicken broth

  • 1 ½ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cups chopped chives

  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions

  1. In a large pot, cook bacon and ground beef over medium heat. Cook until bacon is crispy and beef is thoroughly browned then transport to a bowl.

  2. Add onions, jalapeno, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot along with butter. Cook until vegetables are tender and translucent.

  3. Add the flour to the pot and mix well. Next, add chicken broth, canned corn, bacon, and beef to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes before adding heavy cream and grated parmesan.

  4. Cover and reduce heat to low. Let chowder simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Serve in a bowl topped with chopped chives and enjoy!
