Avocado Bacon Bites

These Avocado Bacon Bites make for a flavorful and satisfying snack without the need for traditional buns. Customize your toppings to suit your taste, and savor the unique combination of this keto-friendly dish.


- 4 Braveheart Ridgecrest Franks, cut in half

- 2 large avocados, sliced

- 8-12 strips of bacon (enough to wrap each hot dog)

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 2 spring onions, finely chopped

- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

- Salt and black pepper to taste

- Toothpicks for securing bacon


  1. Cut a slit down the center of each Ridgecrest Frank half.

  2. Season the avocado slices with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

  3. Place an avocado slice in the center of each hot dog half.

  4. Wrap each hot dog with bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks. Ensure the bacon covers the hot dog evenly.

  5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  6. Place the bacon-wrapped hot dogs on the grill and cook, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the hot dogs are heated through. This should take about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to monitor them closely to prevent burning.

  7. While the hot dogs are grilling, mix the mayonnaise and half of the chopped spring onions in a small bowl. This will be your creamy topping.

  8. In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until they turn golden brown. Stir frequently to prevent burning. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  9. Once the hot dogs are done, remove them from the grill and carefully remove the toothpicks.

  10. Drizzle the creamy mayonnaise mixture over each hot dog.

  11. Sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds and the remaining chopped spring onions over the top of each hot dog.

  12. Serve the avocado bacon bites immediately while they're still warm and the bacon is crispy.
